Being from the Boston area, the documentary, "Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez", played out in front of my eyes during the height of Patriot nation. After completing this documentary, one can only be left to wonder what could have been for Hernandez if he hadn’t been such a sociopath. Of all the athletes over the years that have done unfathomable, idiotic, and destructive things to their lives for no apparent reason, his story takes the cake by far. To watch the footage of him on the football field in this documentary was to see a man gifted with amazing athletic talent who could have been part of 3 Superbowl championships with his bash brother Rob Gronkowski. Due to his violent and irrational behavior, he ended up behind bars for several senseless killings (perhaps more). The documentary proves his family life growing up definitely could not have been a factor in leading him down his evil path as he had a good father and upbringing. Perhaps the death of his father was the beginning of his spiral downward as was suggested. I recommend this documentary for anyone who wants to see what a couple of bad choices can lead to in one’s life and anyone who loves the New England Patriots. It was also interesting to see the dangerous impact the sport Football might have on us and the potential precautions we might want to incorporate.
